The Alchemist

"There is one great truth on this plant: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It's your mission on earth.

..
The Soul of the World is nourished by people's happiness. And also by unhappiness, envy and jealousy. To realize one's Personal Legend is a person's only real obligation. All things are one.
And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it".

Gosh darn it, beautiful words. I remember how I had lapped up Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged", every word of it, and how it molded my thoughts out of the Nehruvian Socialist crap fed by the Desi media in my days. "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho is up there in that league for me.

3k to 300k.. Was that my "Personal Legend"? I'll never know. I think.
